The owner of Koi, Ali, began her career in late 2015 and graduated high school in 2017 with her cosmetology license in hand. Starting so young in the industry, she quickly experienced the unexpected side of salon culture, realizing how often salon owners overlook employee input and how accountability is often lacking in the hair industry. Through her time behind the chair, Ali worked in various salon environments, gaining valuable insights on what a successful, supportive salon should truly look like.
Hi! I’m Ali, the owner and SHE-O of The Koi Collective! I’ve been behind the chair since 2017 and have a deep passion for leading and educating others in this industry. My favorite part of what I do is making people feel comfortable and confident while building real connections. I’m also a strong advocate for women’s rights and LGBTQIA+ rights, and I’m committed to using my privilege to make a positive impact. A few fun facts about me—I’m engaged, I have 4 cats, and I’m a proud mom to my son, Oberyn (we call him Obe). When I’m not behind the chair, I love playing video games and spending time with Obe. I can’t wait to welcome you into my dream salon!
Heyyy! My names Candace, but my friends call me Candy. I’m a hairstylist who loves extensions as well as creating lived-in blondes and brunettes as that are effortless and low-maintenance. When I’m not behind the chair, I’m a mom, a fiancée, and a big fan of rainy days. I could eat pizza and pasta every day and never get tired of it. Trashy reality TV is my guilty pleasure, but during football season, you’ll find me focused on sports betting—only on football, of course! I love connecting with my clients, whether we’re talking hair, TV drama, or game-day picks. Let’s make your dream hair a reality!

I am a versatile stylist with a passion for helping people embrace their authenticity while educating them about their hair. My expertise lies in coloring, especially vivid colors, as well as shear and razor cutting. I graduated from Paul Mitchell in November 2023 and have been a licensed stylist for two years.
